21st December 2002:
GUNS BANNED IN USA

by P.Fezza

Guns have been an American tradition for many a year, with uses such as hunting game deer to the protection of a family home in crime-ridden suburbia. But is this about to change? Will the family have to go unprotected and will the street gangs of America have to beat each other with deadly nightsticks? It certainly looks that way.

Following an incident involving a baby and a mounted weapon, the mood and views towards firearms has been radically reversed, throughout the nation. Both protestors and so called 'gun-nuts' have both come to the conclusion that guns can be harmful to people's health. Upon this dramatic turn around, there has been a great call from the nation asking for a nation wide ban on all guns, firearms and any form of explosives. Cheif spokesman for the NRA, Mr Charlton Heston has stated on behalf of the association:

"What happend to that innocent baby was truly horrific and traumatizing, no family or baby should ever have to go through such torment and suffering again. Thus we are announcing that the NRA shall be disbanding in the very near future whilst supporting our local governments in the plea for a safer United States of America through the banning of offensive weapons."

Baby Elizabeth, born this day last year, daughter to Sophia and Richie Springsteen was tragically crushed to death three days ago when a late nineteenth century musket fell from its metal supports. The weighted gun fell tragically into the cot of the helpless baby below. Elizabeth sustained fatal wounds to her head but luckily the gun was not loaded (and unlikely to fire if it had been) and no one else was injured. Sophia is currently filing a lawsuit against her husband of 5 years as he 'owned' the historic piece of weaponry and is a self confessed 'gun-nut', collecting many rare types of gun.
